WIFI SECURITY

So today in ICT class we have learnt some facts about Wifi Security, I'll leave the main information we have learnt in this next post.

*The wifi protocols (or versions) and each speed: 

    -802.11b - 11 Mbps (2.4GHz)    
    -802.11a - 54 Mbps (5 GHz)    
    -802.11g - 54 Mbps (2.4GHz)    
    -802.11n - 300 Mbps (2.4GHz and 5 GHz)     
    -802.11ac -1300+Mbps (5 GHz) 

*Things we need to connect to the Internet through Wifi:          
     
     -Wireless NIC

     -AP
     -Router

*We also need a SSIC (Service Set Identification)

*Autentication & confidentiality types:

     -Have an 'open' network
     -WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy)     -WPA (Works Progress Administration)     -WPA2
