IP ADDRESS
*It is form by four numbers separated by dots, each number can't be higher than 256.
Ex. 10.1.5.86
*IP Addresses are the identifications of the computers.
*Each NIC has it's own IP to diference it, every IP must be different, if it's equal the computer wont work.
*There're 2 types of IP Address:
-Public IP; travelling through the internet ( ex. router), is possibles to hack and track down it, the IP is shoot in the telephone cable to the NIC. In the AP there's no public IP just in the router.
-Private IP; it must start by 10.X.X.X or by 192.168.X.X, everything else it's public. You can access to your private IP by going to menu, search programs, write 'cdm', write 'ipconfig, find 'adaptador de ethernet conexión', and then the numbers next to 'dirección ipv4' are the numbers of your private IP Address.
*Every operating system from the same place (same house, same high school,...) has its own private IP and then it shares a public IP with the others operating systems in the place; the IP of the router where they are connected.
*The router connects two networks, it has two IP's, one it is privated and the other is public.
*An IP Address can be too:
-Static/fixed; configured manually by you
-Dynamic; automatically configuered by your IPS
*If your router has a dynamic IP, every time you reset it; the IP will change.
Hope all of this information have helped you.
